About the Position:

Are you a talented and passionate chef looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills aboard a prestigious luxury yacht? Saluzi M/Y is currently seeking a creative and experienced Sous Chef to join our esteemed crew in Italy. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the head chef to plan and prepare exquisite meals for our discerning guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience that exceeds expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head chef in all aspects of meal planning, preparation, and presentation.
• Prepare a variety of high-quality dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
• Collaborate with the head chef to develop innovative menus that cater to guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the galley, including proper storage and handling of food items and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of food supplies and ingredients.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen, with previous experience in a sous chef role preferred.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Creativity and ability to develop and execute innovative and delicious menus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
